PEZESHKIAN SENDS GRATITUDE LETTER TO NASRALLAH

Iranian President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian addressed today a letter of appreciation to the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, thanking him for his sincere congratulations following his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. "The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported the resistance of the peoples of the region against the illegal Zionist entity," Pezeshkian said, emphasizing support for the resistance which is rooted in Iran's basic ideals and principles. "I am certain that the resistance movements in the region will not allow this entity to continue its criminal policies against the oppressed Palestinian people and other peoples of the region," he asserted. Pezeshkian concluded by thanking Nasrallah for his prayers, asking God Almighty to grant him and the Lebanese people prosperity and progress and divine victory for the heroes of the resistance.'
