PM Nawaf Salam Engages in Key Dialogues on National Issues and Community Affairs

Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, engaged in a series of significant meetings at the Grand Serail, emphasizing his government's commitment to addressing political, economic, and social issues across Lebanon. He reiterated the importance of comprehensive state action spanning from the north to the south, including the capital, Beirut.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Prime Minister Salam welcomed a delegation from the Alawite community, led by Sheikh Ali Qaddour, head of the Alawite Islamic Council. Sheikh Qaddour characterized the meeting as positive and stressed the importance of national unity as a crucial tool for overcoming challenges. The delegation presented longstanding demands concerning the Alawite Islamic Council and discussed the ramifications of events in Syria on Lebanon.

In a separate meeting, Premier Salam conferred with MP Nadim Gemayel. Their dialogue centered on national concerns, particularly security and the need for army deployment throughout Lebanon. They also touched upon the upcoming municipal elections.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister met with Matthew Hollingworth, representative and director of the World Food Programme, and received a delegation from the "Bader" Association, led by Hisham Tabbara. The association congratulated the Prime Minister on the formation of the government and discussed various demands related to Beirut.
