Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, received the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, along with a delegation from the Qatar Investment Authority, which included Nasser Al-Attieh and Abdullah Al-Rumaihi. Premier Salam expressed his appreciation for Qatar's active support for Lebanon's developmental efforts, emphasizing the importance of this support as Lebanon embarks on a multi-year program aimed at reconstruction, reform, and recovery, aligning with the government's economic vision.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Qatari delegation showed interest in investing in crucial sectors like transport and energy. Meetings are scheduled with Lebanon's Ministers of Public Works and Transport, Energy and Water, and Economy to discuss potential investments. Ambassador Al Thani also mentioned that a delegation from the Qatar Fund for Development plans to visit Lebanon in early December 2025 to further explore financing options for priority projects within Lebanon's general investment program.
In a separate engagement, Premier Salam welcomed a delegation from the "Press CluB" at the Grand Serail, led by Bassam Abou Zaid.
