Pope Leo XIV Congratulates Patriarch Al-Rahi on Milestone Anniversary

Beirut: Pope Leo XIV has sent a message of congratulations to Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of his patriarchal service, coinciding with the Feast of the Annunciation on March 25, 2026. The General Secretariat of the Maronite Patriarchate released the statement on Wednesday, highlighting the Pope's warm wishes and spiritual support for the Maronite Church leader. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Pope's message expressed his spiritual closeness and accompaniment in prayer for Patriarch Al-Rahi. The message emphasized the significance of the Feast of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary and entrusted the pastoral service of Patriarch Al-Rahi to the care of Mother Mary, seeking her graces and blessings for him, the bishops, and all members of the Maronite Church.
