Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, has conveyed his approval of the newly formed government, extending his congratulations to Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and the appointed cabinet ministers. He expressed his hopes for their success in taking on their new roles and responsibilities.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun clarified that the creation of the "Reform and Rescue Government" adhered to criteria established in collaboration with Prime Minister Salam. A key stipulation was the exclusion of individuals linked to political parties. Instead, the selection focused on competence, expertise, specialization, and the candidates' resumes and reputations.
President Aoun emphasized the fulfillment of these criteria, ensuring that the cabinet members operate as a unified and cohesive team. Their collective aim is to realize the aspirations of the Lebanese people for a promising future.
He reiterated that although the government members are non-partisan, they are dedicated to serving all Lebanese citizens. Their primary focus will be the interests of Lebanon, as President Aoun highlighted.
