Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday met with MP Adib Abdel Massih at Baabda Palace to discuss the general situation and the latest developments in the country. MP Abdel Massih's visit was also an opportunity to offer holiday greetings to President Aoun, congratulating him on achievements during his presidential term concerning several national dossiers.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, MP Abdel Massih expressed appreciation for the Lebanese army's efforts and voiced his support for the military institution's statement on extending state authority across all Lebanese territory. The emphasis on national security and territorial integrity was a focal point of the discussions during the meeting.
In a separate meeting at Baabda Palace, President Aoun received the UN Deputy Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Resident and Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator, Imran Riza. Their discussion centered on the activities of various United Nations organizations and associations in Lebanon, as well as the broader situation of UN organizations in the Middle East region. The discussions reflect ongoing international cooperation and the role of UN initiatives in supporting Lebanon.
