Beirut:President of the Republic Joseph Aoun was briefed by General Security Director General Major General Hassan Choucair on the outcomes of his visit to Saudi Arabia. The discussions also focused on recent developments in Lebanon and the operations of the General Security Directorate.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also met with the newly appointed Board of Directors of the Litani River Authority, led by Dr. Sami Alawieh. During the meeting, he urged the board members to establish an efficient and productive public administration model. This model aims to transform national resources into essential services and development opportunities.
The President highlighted the authority's crucial role in managing the Litani River, one of Lebanon's most vital water resources. He emphasized the importance of optimizing its use for irrigation and hydroelectric power generation, while ensuring that public interest remains a top priority.
