Beirut:President Joseph Aoun engaged in discussions with Iyad Al-Hazzaa, the Syrian Chargé d'Affaires in Lebanon, focusing on Lebanese-Syrian relations. The talks centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors and reviewing existing agreements between the two countries.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also met with Dr. Ali Al-Samad, the Director General of the Culture Ministry. Dr. Al-Samad briefed him on the ministry's activities and the ongoing preparations for Lebanon's participation in Expo Belgrade 2027.
In addition to these discussions, they also addressed the work of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), emphasizing Lebanon's role in supporting member states affected by crises and conflicts, particularly in the cultural and educational fields.
President Aoun expressed his appreciation for the Culture Ministry's efforts and urged for continued initiatives to highlight Lebanon's achievements in culture, education, and the arts.
