President Aoun Hosts Key Meetings at Baabda Palace

Baabda: President Joseph Aoun convened a series of meetings at the Baabda presidential palace today, engaging with a diverse array of political, educational, and social representatives to discuss pressing national and local issues. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun emphasized the importance of prioritizing the interests of Lebanon's cities, towns, and villages in the upcoming municipal and mayoral elections. Among those he met was MP Farid Haykal El Khazen, who discussed various national matters with the President, praising the government's reforms under Aoun's leadership and affirming that the elections would proceed as planned. In another meeting, MP Dr. Edgar Traboulsi addressed the educational landscape in Lebanon and shared insights from his recent visits to London and Northern Ireland. The President also engaged in discussions with Dr. Fadlo Khuri, President of the American University of Beirut, who provided updates on the university's current situation and developments. Fu rther, a delegation from the town of al-Aishiyeh, led by Father Simon Bchara El Keserwany, visited to extend Easter greetings. Meanwhile, May Khalil, President of the Beirut Marathon Association, invited President Aoun to the upcoming Beirut Marathon scheduled for May 1, 2025, coinciding with Labor Day. Lastly, President Aoun met with the Antranik Youth Association's delegation, headed by Vicken Jerjian, who highlighted the club's humanitarian, social, and sports activities aimed at benefiting Lebanese youth.
