PRESIDENT AOUN MEETS MP KHOURY, LEBANESE AMBASSADOR TO JAPAN, INDUSTRIALISTS’ ASSOCIATION VICE PRESIDENT

NNA – President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, received MP, Salim Khoury, today at Baabda Palace, and discussed with him general affairs and recent governmental developments, in addition to the Presidential message sent to the Parliament.

MP Khoury said that he deliberated with the President the health situation, in light of the scarcity of several medicines and monopoly of others, which requires immediate action by the government and competent departments to check whether there is monopoly in preparation for price raising, and pursuing those involved according to rules.

In addition, Khoury stressed the importance of expediting rationalization spending, in light of the current economic and financial conditions. Jezzine developmental needs were also tackled in the meeting.

Vice President of Industrialists Association:

The President met Vice President of the Industrialists’ Association, Mr. George Nasrawi.

Nasrawi briefed President Aoun on the difficulties and obstacles facing the entry of Lebanese industrial and agricultural production to numerous Gulf countries, in addition to the ongoing contacts to overcome this problem which faces Lebanese exporters.

Moreover, Nasrawi indicated that the President is following-up on all necessary contacts in this regard, to remove obstacles facing the export of Lebanese goods.

Ambassador of Lebanon to Japan:

President Aoun received Lebanese Ambassador to Japan, Nidal Yehya, and deliberated with him Lebanese-Japanese relations.– Presidency Press Office
