President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, received the new United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Mrs. Joanna Wronecka, on the occasion of her assumption of her new duties in Lebanon, succeeding the former coordinator, Jan Kubis.
Ms. Wronecka was accompanied by her deputy, Mrs. Najat Rushdi.
During the meeting, the relations between Lebanon and the United Nations organizations, and actions to help Lebanon were discussed.
President Aoun wished Mrs. Fronesca success in her new tasks, emphasizing the continuation of cooperation with the United Nations in all its organizations and in all fields. — Presidency Press office
