Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received a phone call from the Secretary of State of the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, congratulating him on his election as Lebanon's new head of state.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Cardinal Parolin extended his wishes for President Aoun's success in his new national responsibilities. He also expressed hopes for Lebanon's well-being and prosperity under President Aoun's leadership.
