Beirut: President Aoun has been receiving congratulatory messages from leaders around the world, acknowledging his leadership and Lebanon's importance on the global stage. Armenian President, Vahagn Khachaturyan, emphasized the commitment to strengthening ties with Lebanon, rooted in historical friendship and mutual respect.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Italian President, Sergio Mattarella, expressed Italy's unwavering support for Lebanon, particularly through the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), to maintain its sovereignty and stability. Bulgarian President, Rumen Radev, and Finnish President, Sauli Niinist¶, also extended their congratulations to President Aoun, highlighting their countries' support for Lebanon's stability.
Slovakian President, Peter Pellegrini, and acting President of South Korea, Choi Sang-mok, conveyed confidence in President Aoun's ability to lead Lebanon toward unity and progress amidst challenges. Additionally, Kuwaiti officials, including Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, sent their congratulations.
President Aoun also took the opportunity to commend former Lebanese basketball star, Fadi El-Khatib, for his nomination to the FIBA Hall of Fame, recognizing his contributions to the sport and his commendable sportsmanship.
