Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday afternoon received at Baabda Palace, former Minister Abbas Halabi. They discussed national and educational affairs. The meeting also touched on the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV to Lebanon, the importance of Islamic-Christian dialogue, and Lebanon's role in this regard. President Aoun also received former Minister Wiam Wahhab, with whom he discussed the general situation in light of recent developments and upcoming entitlements on the domestic scene.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions with both former ministers were centered around national issues, reflecting on the educational challenges and the significance of maintaining a strong dialogue between Islamic and Christian communities. The anticipated visit of Pope Leo XIV was highlighted as a key event for fostering interfaith dialogue in Lebanon.
