Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, discussed with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, during a phone call held this afternoon, the general situation in Lebanon, Iraq, and the region in light of the current military escalation, particularly the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Sudanese Prime Minister condemned the aggression against Lebanese territory, affirming Iraq's full support for Lebanon's unity and sovereignty. President Aoun, in turn, emphasized Lebanon's solidarity with Iraq and its brotherly people, based on the fraternal ties between the two countries.
President Aoun and Iraqi Premier al-Sudani agreed on the importance of strengthening joint Arab coordination to address the current challenges and the need to stop the war and to support diplomatic pathways for resolving conflicts.
