Doha: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Monday met with Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Summit in Qatar. President Aoun thanked the Jordanian Monarch for "the support Jordan provides to Lebanon at the regional and international forums, and the assistance it provides to the Lebanese Army."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also met with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa on the sidelines of the Doha summit. Additionally, President Aoun stressed to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian "Lebanon's keenness to establish strong relations with Iran based on mutual respect, openness, and non-interference in internal affairs, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries." The Iranian president emphasized his country's commitment to the principle of non-interference in the affairs of other countries.
