Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday received at Baabda Palace the head of Tripoli Bar Association, Lawyer Marwan Daher, along with a delegation. President Aoun affirmed before the delegation that "reforms cannot be completed without holding elections on schedule," voicing determination to hold these elections.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun emphasized that the elections are a constitutional entitlement and stressed the importance of holding them as planned. He mentioned that conducting these elections would demonstrate to the international community that the state is fulfilling its role and restoring its presence and credibility abroad.
The President also discussed several achievements, such as the enactment of the law on the independence of the judiciary and the formation of regulatory bodies. He underscored the importance of having a fair and strict judiciary, stating that without it, there would be no security, economy, or investment.
