Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, officially welcomed six newly appointed ambassadors to Lebanon during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace. The newly credentialed envoys are Jose Ulises Lescure from Panama, Louise Searle from New Zealand, Al-Talib Al-Mukhtar Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mujtaba from Mauritania, Fahd Salem Saeed Al-Kaabi from the United Arab Emirates, Bulgan Enkhtuvshin from Mongolia, and Adam Bagoudou Zakaria from Benin.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the ceremony included the presence of key officials such as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raji, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Abdul Sattar Issa, Director of Protocol at the Presidential Palace Dr. Nabil Chdid, and Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Roula Noureddine. The ceremony was marked by full official honors, including national anthems and flag hoisting, as each ambassador presented their credentials to President Aoun.
The diplomats expressed their intentions to strengthen bilateral relations with Lebanon, while President Aoun extended his best wishes for their missions. The Lebanese national anthem played as each ambassador departed the palace.
In addition to the ceremonial proceedings, President Aoun met with Norwegian Ambassador Hilda Haraldstad to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments. He also engaged in discussions with Financial Prosecutor General Judge Maher Cheaito regarding the judicial work and operations of the Public Prosecutor's office.
Further, President Aoun met with Amer Abdul Nabi, Head of the TMT Lebanon MMA club, to celebrate the club's achievements in national and international championships. The president commended the club's success and reiterated the state's support for sports and Lebanese talents aiming to enhance Lebanon's global image.
