Beirut: Prime Minister-designate, Judge Nawaf Salam, concluded the first day of his non-binding parliamentary consultations at the House of Parliament as part of the government formation process. The discussions are set to resume tomorrow, allowing Salam to engage with the remaining political blocs and lawmakers.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, PM-designate Salam held meetings with several parliamentary groups during the initial day of consultations. He engaged with Vice Speaker Elias Bou Saab and representatives from the "Change Alliance," "Democratic Gathering," "Independent Consultative Gathering," "National Moderation," "Strong Lebanon," "Strong Republic," "Independent National," "Kataeb," "Tashnag," "National Accord," and "Renewal" blocs.
The consultations are a critical step in the government formation process, providing an opportunity for PM-designate Salam to gather insights and perspectives from various political entities. The continuation of these discussions tomorrow is anticipated to further inform the government's development strategy.
