Beirut: Dozens of protesters from public education leagues and retired military personnel on Thursday gathered outside the Lebanese Parliament as lawmakers convened to debate the state budget. The demonstrators blocked the road leading toward Beirut Municipality, protesting living conditions and demanding action on their social and financial rights.

The protesters are urging the government to address their concerns and ensure their rights are protected in the new budget. The gathering remained peaceful but caused significant disruption to traffic in the area.
