PSD Warns of Expected Unstable Weather Conditions.

Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has urged citizens to exercise caution and adopt proper preventive behavior during the expected unstable weather conditions in the coming hours and days. The warning comes as the region prepares for potentially hazardous weather that could impact daily activities and safety. According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD called for exercising caution while driving to avoid traffic accidents due to road slips caused by rainfall, and reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, especially in desert areas and the southern and eastern regions of the kingdom. The agency stressed the importance of vigilance on the roads to prevent accidents under these challenging conditions. The PSD emphasized the necessity of staying away from the sides of valleys and areas where floods form and not blocking the road in case of rising water levels. Citizens are advised to prioritize their safety and avoid risky areas that could become dangerous during heavy rainfall or flooding. Moreover, t he PSD urged citizens to use heating methods safely and correctly, regardless of their types, and to secure objects that can be blown away by the wind. Ensuring that heating devices are used properly and securing loose objects can help prevent accidents and damage during strong winds. The PSD confirmed its operational readiness to handle any reports received on the unified emergency number 911, through the main and subsidiary operations rooms, patrols, and teams working around the clock in all regions and governorates. This readiness aims to ensure quick and effective responses to any emergencies that may arise due to the weather conditions.
