Beirut: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced that intensive efforts are underway to facilitate the travel of Lebanese citizens to and from Tehran, working diligently to resolve the situation.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the ministry stated it is coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the necessary arrangements for flights, especially for those traveling to or returning from the Iranian capital. The Lebanese Civil Aviation Authority is awaiting clearance from Tehran's airport authorities to permit Middle East Airlines (MEA) flights to land. The carrier is scheduled to operate three flights to Tehran later today.
The ministry highlighted that MEA flights scheduled for the previous day were postponed due to the inability to secure landing permits at Tehran International Airport.
Reaffirming its commitment to ensuring the safe and swift return of Lebanese citizens, the ministry emphasized its close coordination with relevant authorities to expedite the process. All necessary measures are being taken to address the matter with urgency.
