Putin Arrives in Tianjin, China, to Participate in Shanghai Summit

Tianjin: President Vladimir Putin arrived in Tianjin, China, at the start of an official visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping. The visit is scheduled to last until September 3, according to Russia Today.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Russian President is participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, hosted by the coastal city of Tianjin. On the sidelines of the summit, Putin is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings, including talks with Iranian and Turkish Presidents, Indian Prime Minister and other leaders.

Putin will also participate in the commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Beijing and will be the chief guest at the military parade scheduled for the occasion.

President Putin is scheduled to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart on Ukraine, Middle Eastern issues, prospects for bilateral cooperation, and other regional and international issues.
