Qais Al-Khazali: There are no real intentions for the US Administration to get out of Iraq.. and the case is a lie and deception

Baghdad The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, affirmed that: There are no real intentions of the American administration to leave Iraq, and there is no withdrawal of American forces, and the issue is a lie and deception.

In a televised speech on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, he said: “The result of these negotiations will not be the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq, but rather a mere verbal manipulation.”

Khazali added that these negotiations were not only negotiations of laughter on the beard, but rather negotiations of deception. Noting that: the issue of ending the combative presence was never mentioned by the head of the US administration nor by the Iraqi Prime Minister.

He pointed out that: The statement of the Foreign Ministers of Iraq and America did not clarify what is meant by combat forces and what they include.. and the statement of the withdrawal of combat forces is not clear whether it includes the withdrawal of combat troops.

Al-Khazali explained: The whole issue, as we said, is a change of address, and this is what we alerted and referred to, and this is the plan. The statement did not include any reference, even from afar, to the American aircraft and its violation of Iraqi sovereignty, and it never included any exit or withdrawal of these combat forces.

He added that American planes are mainly concentrated over Baghdad and are used for spying purposes. He asked: What do unmanned reconnaissance flights do over the central and southern governorates?

Al-Khazali stated that: These aircraft’s real goal is to spy, monitor the resistance factions, and monitor the Popular Mobilization, and that the phrase “there will be no American combat forces” means turning those forces into trainers and consultants.

He noted that the statement did not mention any withdrawal of ground forces and equipment, and how many advisers will remain in Iraq?

Khazali said: Our demand is patriotic, constitutional and legitimate, which is that no military forces remain in Iraq, and we are wary of US deception attempts, and we cannot trust them.

Khazali stressed that America filled the Gulf with warships to prepare for the emergence of Imam Mahdi, and that it occupied Iraq and would not leave easily without strong action from the resistance.

He explained that the cost of US forces in Iraq will be exorbitant. Noting that: Media outlets quoted Biden as saying that US forces will remain and their mission will only change.. It also quoted a Pentagon commander confirming the survival of 2,500 soldiers in Iraq at least.

Khazali continued: We need frank words from the Prime Minister confirming that no US air bases will remain in Iraq.. He called for the formation of a parliamentary committee to follow up on the non-violation of sovereignty by America and to know the presence of its soldiers.
