Qatari Foreign Minister Calls for Immediate Negotiations on Gaza Agreement


Doha: Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani emphasized the urgency of initiating the second phase of negotiations on the Gaza ceasefire agreement. This call was made during a press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, highlighting the importance of adhering to all terms of the ceasefire.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the Qatari Foreign Minister underscored the significance of establishing a clear mechanism to ensure aid reaches those in need and reiterated the necessity of ending the occupation to establish a Palestinian state. He expressed optimism about achieving swift positive outcomes to resolve the ongoing conflict.



Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan echoed these sentiments, prioritizing the continuation of the ceasefire and urging the removal of Israeli obstacles to aid delivery. Fidan stressed that resolving the Palestinian issue through a two-state solution is essential to prevent further clashes and conflicts. He called for unified opposition to any plans to displace the Palestinian population from Gaza, emphasizing that such actions are contrary to international law.
