Doha: Qatar's emir has accused Israel of attempting to sabotage Gaza negotiations by targeting Hamas negotiators in Doha last week. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani made these remarks on Monday during a gathering of Arab and Muslim leaders in the Qatari capital, convened to discuss the latest developments concerning the attack on Gaza.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the emir expressed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ambitions to expand Israeli influence over the Arab world. "Whoever works diligently and systematically to assassinate the party with whom he is negotiating, intends to thwart the negotiations," Sheikh Tamim stated, suggesting that Israel views negotiations as merely an extension of warfare.
The emir further noted that Netanyahu harbors dreams of transforming the Arab region into an Israeli sphere of influence, calling it a "dangerous illusion." These comments underscore the tension and distrust in the region as leaders seek resolutions to ongoing conflicts.
