Amman: Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan held a meeting on Monday with young entrepreneurs in Amman, discussing the progress and impact of their innovative, income-generating projects which she has supported through a sponsorship scheme. According to Jordan News Agency, the sponsorship program has to date facilitated 190 youth-led projects across Jordan. These projects were selected with the help of civil society organizations and the Jordan River Foundation, which chose several through its community empowerment initiatives. During the meeting, the young entrepreneurs shared insights into their projects, detailing the job opportunities created and the professional skills imparted to other Jordanians. They also outlined their future plans and recounted several success stories that underscored the positive changes brought about by their endeavors. The projects discussed were diverse, spanning various sectors, yet common to all was a focus on innovation rather than traditional employment paths. Ea ch of the young leaders had established their ventures independently, creating up to three part-time or full-time jobs before joining the Queen's sponsorship program. This initiative reflects a significant commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit among Jordan's youth, steering them towards self-sufficiency and economic contribution.
