Rahi from Kawkaba: We Remain on Our Land, Border Communities Are the Nation’s Shield

Kawkaba: Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi on Wednesday told residents in Kawkaba that the Church has never been absent and remains by their side, stressing, "We are here today to affirm that we will remain on our land, this is our history and our identity."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Rahi emphasized that border communities serve as the nation's protective shield, warning that without them the land becomes exposed. He highlighted the importance of these communities in maintaining the security and identity of the region.

Rahi further stated there is no separation between suffering and resurrection, drawing a parallel between the hardships faced by residents and the broader challenges in the region. He expressed solidarity with those who have stayed and voiced regret for those who have been forced to leave their homes.
