Rahi: Lebanon Needs One State, One Decision and Undivided Sovereignty

Beirut: Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi stressed that Lebanon needs one state, one decision and undivided sovereignty, emphasizing that the Lebanese state alone should exercise authority across all its territory, with the Lebanese Army and legitimate institutions guaranteeing security and stability. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, he called for an end to attacks in southern Lebanon, the protection of residents and the restoration of full Lebanese sovereignty, while expressing hope that ongoing negotiations would lead to a lasting solution. Rahi also stressed that justice must be equal for all, free from political and sectarian considerations, and that the law must apply equally to every citizen. Linking his message to the Gospel of Martha and Mary, he said Lebanon must move beyond political disputes and focus on what truly matters: the country, the state and the dignity of its people.
