Rahi Opens 58th Session of Catholic Patriarchs, Bishops Council in Bkerke

Bkerke: Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, on Monday opened the 58th ordinary session of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops at the Patriarchal See in Bkerke, under the theme 'Toward a More Synodal Church that Listens with Faith, Discerns with Wisdom, and Acts by the Spirit's Inspiration.'

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in his opening remarks, Rahi welcomed the council's new members and expressed gratitude to those who have completed their service. He outlined the agenda for the session, which includes discussions on the Church's synodal path, necessary reforms, and preparations for Pope Leo XIV's Apostolic Visit to Lebanon.

Rahi also called for nationwide prayers and the ringing of bells across the country to mark the Pope's arrival on November 30. The council's session is set to address important issues concerning the Church's future direction and its role in the community.
