Beirut: Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, on Thursday met with Joseph Kossaifi, President of the Lebanese Journalists' Syndicate, and his delegation. Kossaifi emphasized the importance of continuing the path set by the recent Bkerki Spiritual Summit, which called for national unity and warned against the potential for civil conflict amid Israeli provocations. He also urged all parties to adopt responsible, constructive speech. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Patriarch Al-Rahi supported these calls, stressing the need for a national conference to address the implementation of the Taif Agreement, UN resolutions, and Lebanon's neutrality. He also reiterated his opposition to a political deal for the presidency, highlighting the constitutional crises and the absence of a Christian president.
