Rasamny and Hawat Discuss Infrastructure Development Roadmap for Jbeil Under ‘Lebanon on Track’ Initiative

Beirut: As part of the 'Lebanon on Track' initiative aimed at revitalizing infrastructure and promoting balanced regional development, Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Tuesday welcomed with MP Ziad Hawat to follow up on last week's ministerial field visit to the Jbeil district.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on accelerating the implementation of priority development projects in Jbeil. Both parties agreed on preparing a comprehensive roadmap outlining short- and medium-term goals, particularly for rehabilitating key road networks and enhancing critical facilities in the region.

Top priorities include the rehabilitation of the Jbeil-Mar Charbel and Laqlouq-Aaqoura roads, expanding maintenance operations across internal roads in the city of Jbeil and surrounding villages, and launching restoration works at the historic Jbeil Port. The plan also covers finalizing procurement processes related to the refurbishment of the Jbeil Serail building.

In light of the approaching summer season, the minister and MP agreed to expedite infrastructure upgrades to facilitate tourism and improve traffic flow, thereby stimulating the local economy.
