Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Wednesday received Head of the Land Transport Unions and Syndicates, Bassam Tleis representatives of the Southern Suburbs Municipal Union, and a delegation from areas affected by recent attacks, which caused significant damage, particularly to roads and bridges, and disrupted connectivity.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting reviewed the ministry's emergency plan to address the damage within the rehabilitation phase, ahead of its submission to the Council of Ministers for approval of the necessary funding. The plan comprises three integrated stages aimed at restoring damaged infrastructure and ensuring the resumption of normal movement.
The delegation thanked Rasamny for his direct follow-up and the ministry's ongoing works since the ceasefire.
Rasamny also met MP Jihad Al-Samad to discuss general and development-related issues, particularly road safety.
