Zawtar al-gharbiyeh: Residents of the town of Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh began entering the town under the support of the Lebanese Army, amidst security and organizational measures to facilitate the return process. The National News Agency correspondent reported that residents were allowed to enter the town at noon to inspect their homes in the western and northern neighborhoods, though they were not permitted to stay in the town.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, army units stationed at the entrance to Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh, on the Qa'aqaiyat al-Jisr side, organized the entry of residents, who had been gathered at the town's entrance for four days prior to being allowed entry. This move followed the completion of clearance operations by the Army's Engineering Regiment, which removed suspicious obstacles, unexploded ordnance, and mines left by the Israeli enemy in the town's streets and neighborhoods.
The entry process was conducted in convoys of five vehicles at a time, with each vehicle undergoing a search before entry. Residents were restricted from accessing neighborhoods adjacent to the occupied town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyeh.
The town's entrances experienced heavy congestion, significantly slowing the movement of vehicles as large numbers of residents arrived with the intention of returning. Some residents chose to continue their journey on foot to reach their homes.
