Damascus: Syrian Airlines has announced the resumption of flights between Damascus International Airport and Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia, marking the end of an eight-year suspension. The service is set to recommence on November 7, 2024. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the airline stated that flights to Jeddah will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays. The resumption aims to facilitate travel for community members between Syria and Saudi Arabia and to enhance transportation and communication between the two nations. Director General Hatem Kabbas encouraged interested passengers to contact Syrian Airlines offices for bookings, emphasizing that regular flights had been halted since May 8, 2016.
