Beirut: MP Ashraf Rifi commended, in a statement on Saturday, "the President's remarks about Tripoli and its right to development," adding, "We also appreciate Prime Minister Nawaf Salam's initiative to express concern for the city and its people."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Rifi stressed that "the state is now shouldering its responsibilities and is developing a serious plan for the development of Tripoli, a city that has contributed so much and continues to do so, just as all the northern districts that were besieged and penalized by the former Syrian regime and the crumbling Iranian hegemony."
