Beirut: Caretaker Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, on Wednesday urged the activation of Starlink internet service in Lebanon to enhance connectivity in the southern and Bekaa regions. In a statement on X platform, Salam explained that the Lebanese telecom network had been severely impacted by Israeli aggression, hindering communication between commercial, industrial, and economic institutions. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam emphasized the importance of restoring internet services to revitalize the local economy, particularly in resilient areas, and to foster smoother connections with the global market. By leveraging Starlink's capabilities, Salam believes that Lebanon can overcome the current disruptions and ensure that essential communication lines remain open, supporting both local businesses and international trade relations.
