Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam engaged in a series of meetings with key figures, including UAE Ambassador Fahd Salem Saeed Al-Kaabi, at the Grand Serail to discuss bilateral relations and current developments between Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam's agenda also included a meeting with Karolina Lindholm Billing, the newly appointed head of UNHCR's Beirut office. The discussions focused on the agency's ongoing activities and humanitarian efforts in Lebanon, aiming to address the challenges faced by refugees and displaced communities in the region.
Additionally, Prime Minister Salam welcomed Bishop Mikhael Farha, the Melkite Greek Catholic Bishop of Baalbek, accompanied by Father Marwan Maalouf and Father Rabih Shabaan. The delegation expressed gratitude to Salam for his presence at Bishop Farha's recent episcopal ordination, highlighting the significance of this support.
In a separate event, Salam celebrated Independence Day by hosting students from Al-Thana' School in Jeb Jennine. The students toured the Grand Serail, gaining insights into its historical and administrative importance, as part of an educational initiative to connect young learners with their national heritage.
