Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Tuesday engaged in a series of significant meetings with key political and religious figures. He first met with Minister of Displaced and State Minister for Technology and Information, Kamal Chehadeh, who provided a briefing on the progress made in the realm of digital governance. Chehadeh highlighted several upcoming projects that involve collaboration with the private sector, aiming to enhance the country's technological landscape. Additionally, Salam held discussions with MP Akram Chehayeb, focusing on the latest national developments.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam's day continued with a meeting with the Grand Mufti of Mount Lebanon, Sheikh Mohammad Hani Al-Jouzou. During the meeting, Al-Jouzou commended the Prime Minister for his national role and expressed unwavering support for state institutions and the rule of law, reinforcing the importance of stability and governance.
Further engagements included Salam welcoming delegations from Arab tribes along with their mayors. These delegations expressed their backing for the government's efforts, the Taif Accord, and emphasized their support for the exclusive authority of the state over arms. These discussions underscore the collective commitment to national unity and governance.
