Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam received a delegation from the "Greater Lebanon Gathering" at the Grand Serail, which included MP Ashraf Rifi, Hayat Arslan, Abdel Majid Awwad, and Saleh Al-Moqaddam. The delegation invited Premier Salam to attend the upcoming ceremony marking the anniversary of the proclamation of Greater Lebanon, scheduled for next Saturday in Tripoli.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, MP Rifi conveyed the invitation to Premier Salam, highlighting the significance of the event. Premier Salam expressed the importance of Greater Lebanon, noting its role in fostering diverse thought and a shared culture that unites the Lebanese people despite their varied affiliations. He emphasized the need to preserve Greater Lebanon, uphold its entity and borders, and learn from past mistakes.
Salam further stated that building a balanced state is crucial for the development of all regions, safeguarding individual freedoms and rights, and enabling equal participation of all Lebanese in shaping their country's future.
