Beirut: Caretaker Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, congratulating him on forming the new government.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the UAE Foreign Affairs Minister expressed his best wishes to Salam and the newly formed government, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong bilateral relations between the two countries. The conversation highlighted mutual interests and the potential for future cooperation in various sectors.
Salam, in response, thanked Sheikh Abdullah for his support and reiterated Lebanon's commitment to fostering a collaborative relationship with the UAE. The call marks one of the first diplomatic engagements for Salam since assuming his role as caretaker prime minister.
