Salameh and Francophonie Official Discuss Activation of Reading Centers in Lebanon

Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, recently held a meeting at the National Library in Sanayeh with Ambassador Levon Amirjyan, the Director of the Regional Office of the Francophonie Organization in Lebanon. Ambassador Amirjyan presented a comprehensive report prepared by the organization's reading and cultural animation expert, which evaluated the current conditions of reading centers throughout Lebanon. This assessment followed a series of visits to these centers conducted last month.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on the recommendations and proposals outlined in the report. These suggestions aim to support, activate, and revitalize reading centers across various regions of Lebanon. The discussions were part of a broader effort to enhance cultural cooperation through the activation of these centers.

Furthermore, the dialogue also covered upcoming activities related to the Francophonie and the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the Regional Office. This cooperation is expected to strengthen cultural ties and promote reading and educational activities within the Lebanese community.
