Beirut: Minister of Culture Dr. Ghassan Salameh welcomed Dr. Noura Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Cultural Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at his office in the National Library. The meeting was attended by UAE Ambassador to Lebanon Salem Fahd Al-Kaabi and Lebanese Ambassador to the UAE Tariq Mneimneh.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussion centered on the potential for building a cultural partnership between Lebanon and the UAE. Minister Salameh expressed gratitude to Minister Al-Kaabi for her participation in the upcoming Beirut I investment conference and for her ongoing interest in fostering cultural cooperation.
Following the meeting, Minister Salameh emphasized the importance of this potential partnership. He highlighted the role it would play not only for the ministries but also for the active Lebanese community in the UAE, particularly in the cultural and creative industries. He expressed delight at Minister Al-Kaabi's visit and participation in the conference.
Minister Al-Kaabi, expressing her enthusiasm, remarked on the strong relationship between the UAE and Lebanon, emphasizing the shared cultural projects and ideas. She noted the significance of their collaboration for both nations and affirmed her commitment to future projects that would benefit both Emirati and Lebanese communities. Despite her delayed visit, she reaffirmed her affinity for Lebanon, referring to it as her second home.
Following their meeting, Salameh and Al-Kaabi toured the UNESCO Palace, guided by Dr. Ali Al-Samad, Director-General of Cultural Affairs, further solidifying the cultural ties between the two nations.
