Salameh Highlights Progress in Port Explosion Case and Judiciary Independence

Beirut: Culture Minister Dr. Ghassan Salameh emphasized the government's serious commitment to the port explosion case and highlighted the approval of a bill on the independence of the judiciary as a positive development. Speaking during a televised address at a march for the families of the martyrs and victims of the August 4 explosion, Salameh underscored the importance of establishing a permanent dialogue with the victims' families at the National Library, asserting that it is the government's duty to support them until justice is achieved.

According to National news Agency - Lebanon, Dr. Salameh reiterated the government's dedication to the case, stating that the commitment is genuine. He stressed the inseparable link between justice and truth, emphasizing that true justice can only be realized through an independent judiciary. The recent approval of the judiciary independence bill marks a significant step forward in this pursuit.
