Salameh Opens First International Fine Arts Exhibition “Faqra… A Painting of Time” in Kfardebian

Kfardebian: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salam©, inaugurated the first international fine arts exhibition "Faqra... A Painting of Time" in the Faqra buildings, Kfardebian. The exhibition was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the Kfardebian Municipality, and organized by the ARTISTIDAMA Association. The exhibition was attended by the mayor and members of the municipal council.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Salam© delivered a speech in which he praised the importance of the exhibition and the cultural activities organized by the Kfardebian Municipality. He highlighted the ongoing coordination with the municipality to protect antiquities, including the construction of a museum on site.

Mayor Jean Akiki welcomed Minister Salam©, appreciating his sponsorship of cultural activities, especially in his hometown of Kfardebian. The mayor expressed gratitude for the Minister's involvement and the attention given to cultural preservation.

Salam© and the attendees then toured the exhibition, which featured approximately 40 paintings by participating artists from Lebanon and several Arab and foreign countries. Each painting was unique, offering attendees a glimpse into diverse storytelling through art.

The artists also engaged in live drawing sessions of Faqra Castle and the archaeological site, providing an interactive experience for the visitors. The live drawings served as an additional highlight of the exhibition, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region.
