Beirut: Public Prosecutor Judge Jamal Al-Hajjar has issued a search warrant against Al-Manar TV correspondent Ali Berro for his repeated refusal to appear for investigation into the "Raouche Rock" lighting incident and for insulting Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berro's legal representative appeared at the Raouche police station this morning, announcing for the second time that Berro would not comply with the summons from the judicial police, citing his status as a journalist. This refusal has prompted the issuance of the search warrant, as appropriate legal action is being pursued against him.
Additionally, one of the individuals involved in bringing the laser device used to illuminate the "Raouche Rock" was questioned by authorities. This person was released pending further investigation, under the orders of Judge Al-Hajjar, as the inquiry into the incident continues.
