Second Phase of Water Efficiency Network Project for Green Initiatives Kicks Off

AMMAN: The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) has initiated the second phase of a water efficiency network project as part of a national campaign to enhance water management practices within the country's industrial sector. This project is part of a broader strategy to promote sustainable economic development and environmental stewardship. According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative is a component of the Water for Lasting Good campaign, executed in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Water Management Initiative (WMI). The project aims to create an interactive platform that allows member factories to exchange knowledge and expertise in water management, thereby fostering innovation and the development of sustainable solutions. The JCI highlights the platform's role in improving water use efficiency, which is expected to provide economic and environmental benefits. This effort aligns with national water resource managemen t objectives and promotes sustainability within the industrial sector. Fathi Jaghbir, Chairperson of the JCI, reiterated the Chamber's dedication to advancing sustainability in the industrial sector, noting that the establishment of such networks is crucial for aligning industry growth with green economy principles. Jaghbir emphasized that the initiative supports Jordan's economic modernization vision, advocating for sustainable practices across various sectors.
