Security Update: Israeli Enemy Airstrikes Target Southern Lebanon, Clashes Intensify Near Border; Farmer Killed, Journalist Narrowly Escapes Death.

BEIRUT: Israeli enemy fighter jets on Thursday carried out a series of airstrikes across southern Lebanon, targeting various locations, including the outskirts of the city of Tyre and near Qana Governmental Hospital. At approximately 1:00 pm, Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike targeting the village of Safad al-Battikh in Bint Jbeil district. Simultaneously, the towns of Chakra and Baraachit were subjected to artillery bombardment by Israeli forces. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, just over an hour later, around 1:45 pm, Israeli jets launched two additional strikes on the outskirts of the southern villages of Qlaileh and Bir al-Qlaileh. In Zahrani, Israeli aircraft targeted the town of Banaafoul in another strike. Israeli forces also detonated a mosque in the southern village of Yarin, causing significant damage. In Nabatieh, intense clashes erupted early between Islamic Resistance fighters and Israeli soldiers on the outskirts of Aytroun, heading toward the town of Ainata. Initial reports confirm casualties among Israeli troops. In Hasbaya, local sources reported the death of Yassin Abdullah Abu Qays, a farmer, who was killed during Israeli bombardment on the southern town of Al-Habariyeh. In a narrow escape, Rana Jouni, a correspondent for LBC, survived a direct hit from an Israeli airstrike while covering developments in Deir al-Zahrani, near Nabatieh. Jouni sustained bruises, though her condition is not life-threatening. Her vehicle was damaged by shrapnel from the missile.
