Beirut: Israeli enemy warplanes on Friday carried out a series of strikes across southern Lebanon earlier today, targeting the towns of Nmiriyeh, Deir Aames, Touline, Tayr Felsay, Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain, Shaaitiyeh and Aytit in Tyre district. A strike destroyed a house in the Hijaziyeh neighbourhood of Nmiriyeh, while artillery shelling hit the area between Qlailah, Maaliyeh and Hanniyeh.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Israeli army also issued an evacuation warning for residents of Abbasiyeh near Tyre, urging them to move at least one kilometre away into open areas. Warning shots were later fired into the air in the area to prompt evacuations.
In Touline, two people were killed and five wounded in an Israeli strike, with casualties transferred to hospitals in Tyre. Israeli warplanes later launched a second raid on the town.
