Settlers set fire to crops in Masafer Yatta

HEBRON– Hardcore Israeli settlers today set fire to crops belonging to Palestinian farmers in the Bedouin community of Masafer Yatta, to the south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, said a local source.

Foad Omour, a local anti-settlement activist, told WAFA that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlements of Havat Maon and Avigal broke into a farmland belonging to local Palestinian citizens and set fire to around 15 dunums of planted land.

Israeli occupation forces who accompanied the settlers in their attack fired stun grenades and teargas at local Palestinian population.

Settler violence is commonplace in the occupied West Bank, and is never prosecuted by the Israeli occupation authorities.
